Help for the technology between categories.

Not every problem is a broken computer or a failed network. Sometimes a printer will not stay connected, an account is configured incorrectly, files need to move to a new device, or several small issues have made a simple task unnecessarily difficult.

Walker Computers works through the problem carefully, explains the solution, and helps leave the setup in a state that makes sense after the appointment ends.

  • New-device setup and migration
  • Printers and peripheral devices
  • Email and account configuration
  • Software installation and troubleshooting
  • Cloud storage and file organization
  • On-site and remote assistance

Home and business support.

Support is available for individual households, home offices, and small-to-medium organizations throughout Greater Houston. Remote help is efficient for many software and configuration problems; on-site service is available when the equipment or environment needs hands-on attention.

Anything involving technology

The list above is a starting point, not a boundary. Use the contact form to describe the issue or goal, and Walker Computers will determine the most practical next step.

The “it was working yesterday” list.

Everyday problems that are too small to feel worth a call, and too annoying to keep living with.

  • The printer has decided it is offline
  • Email stopped sending, or stopped arriving
  • A new phone, tablet or laptop that needs setting up properly
  • Passwords nobody can find and accounts nobody can get into
  • Photos that need getting off a device and somewhere safe
  • A backup that should exist and probably does not
  • Something on screen that you are not sure you should click

There is no such thing as a question too small here. A ten-minute answer that stops you losing an afternoon is a perfectly good use of a call, and quite a lot of these turn out to be exactly that.

Questions people ask.

Yes. The services listed cover the most common needs, not every possibility. Send a quick description and you will be told the best next step, even when that turns out not to involve hiring anyone.

That is a good deal of the work. Explanations come in plain language, and the aim is that you understand what happened rather than just watching it get fixed.

Often, yes. On-site across Magnolia, Montgomery, Tomball, Pinehurst, The Woodlands, Conroe, Spring, Cypress and the wider Houston area. Many software, configuration, email and general support issues can be handled remotely.

Hang up. Legitimate technology companies do not ring people unprompted about their computers, and never ask for remote access or payment on that call. If you have already let someone connect, disconnect the machine from the internet and get it looked at.

The standard labor rate is $85 an hour for typical remote and on-site service. Parts, equipment and large installations are quoted separately. Consultations are free, and new customers get the first hour of standard labor free.

If it involves technology, ask.

Free consultations, clear $85 hourly rate, and the first hour free for new customers.
